Principal's Message

A warm welcome to our students and families! At Watkins Memorial High School, we are committed to preparing every student for their journey beyond graduation, whether that's college, a career, the workforce, or military service.

Developing students' capabilities is a priority at WMHS. We aim to cultivate creative, critical thinkers who have the capacity to collaborate and communicate effectively in both academic and career settings. Our approach focuses on building strong foundations for future success. We have high expectations for both our staff and students as they engage in all aspects of the high school experience.

This year is all about growth and readiness as we prepare students to build the future by exploring career paths, gaining valuable workforce skills, navigating college applications, and understanding military options. We're here to guide students every step of the way, providing the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in whatever path they choose.

Beyond the classroom, we strongly encourage every student to get involved! Participation in athletics, extracurricular activities, clubs, and service organizations is an exciting and vital part of the high school experience. These activities not only enrich students' time here but also help develop essential life skills.

We believe that learning is a community endeavor, and we encourage families to take an active part in their children's education. Please take every opportunity to get involved with our school – your partnership is invaluable.
